Kamano Seed Ltd is an indigenous Zambian Seed Company, which is a subsidiary of Horemans Investments Ltd. Kamano Seed Company Ltd was created in order to solely deal in seeds so as to let Horemans Investment Limited concentrate on farming and the handling of commercial products.

Kamano Seed Co. Ltd has recently strengthened its capacities through employing additional specialist staff and by shifting to its newly and purposefully constructed premises.

The name Kamano is derived from a beautiful stream that passes through our farm in Mwinilunga District. Kamano Seed Ltd. is a local Zambian Seed Company and is registered with the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives through Seed Control Certification Institute (SCCI) which is the seed supervisory wing of Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MACO). Kamano Seed Company Limited is situated along Mumbwa Road at plot number 12922 in Lusaka.

As a recognized licensed seed multiplier, Processor and supplier, Kamano Seed Company  Ltd is working with out grower scheme farmers in most remote areas of Zambia producing and multiplying Quality Declared Seeds with the help of Seed Control Certification Institute who Inspects and supervises the production and multiplication of our seed.

We are working with small scale farmers in the following areas: Southern, North Western, Central, Lusaka and Eastern Provinces. We offer these farmers a lot of guidance and expertise in the seed production and multiplication, in certain circumstances we also assist the farmers with agriculture inputs.

Further, Kamano Seed Ltd also helps these farmers to improve their life by providing them a market for their products and offering them honest prices. We procure their seed and have it tested on different features (germination, purity, etc.). If it meets the standards the seed is taken for further processing at our Depot. In addition farmers with transportation of their commercial crop to the markets using our company trucks.
